It’s
Not Who You Know, It’s What
They Don’t Tell You: If
you’re
involved in government long enough,
you'll see the same problems repeat
themselves. I’m struck by recent
articles about the newer Virginia
Beach City Council members and how
they're concerned that City Staff
makes plans and decisions before
informing City Council. Welcome to
my world. It was no better in the
1990s when I served on Council, and
improving the process is a main reason
I’m running for Mayor. Two-door
government must end in Virginia Beach.
Let's stop the reign where the well-connected
have an open door to those in power,
and the hard-working citizen finds
a door with three locks and safety
alarm. I’ll vote for that!
