Vote For That
Going Green Saves Green: On Tuesday the Virginia Beach City Council approved a "universal shuttle" plan developed by Hampton Roads Transit. The new hybrid diesel-electric buses will replace the costly and aging fleet of 32 trolleys at the oceanfront. The great thing about this decision is that it comes with a $5 million federal grant to purchase the 29-foot-long buses. The new shuttles also will help streamline transit operations and save money through bulk purchasing, as they are part of a universal shuttle being promoted throughout the region by HRT. City Council decisions like this lessen our taxpayer burden and improve our city on a large scale.
I'll vote for that!!
